Douglas Duty Pump
The duty pump on Douglas fire station. This is a Volvo FL6 chassis with bodywork by Saxon Sanbech of Cheshire. This was one of the last appliances ever built by the firm as they went into liquidation shortly after. It was also our first appliance to have the new battenburg livery applied as is now common amongst British Brigades.

Saxon did design and build an excellent and very spacious tilting custom crew cab for the FL6 appliances they built - and also supplied them to other firms too.
I agree about the weird livery: it is commonplace now but I have never heard any evidence that it improves anybody's safety!
