Brasiu, it's PUMP, not pomp. Just because MJK made a series of spelling mistakes doesn't mean we have to copy those... My English isn't perfect either, but that's a basic word...

What we have here is one of the most (if not THE most) popular 'heavy pumps/tankers' among the Polish fire services - GCBA 5/24 Jelcz 422/JZS 010R, with a two-stage Rosenbauer NH-30 pump and a 260HP engine. Until the late 1990s (when ISS Wawrzaszek and PS Szczęśniak started taking hold of the market), Jelcz (or JZS, Jelczańskie Zakłady Samochodowe) dominated the domestic market for fire appliances, with its 010R, 010M (010 with extended cab), 014R (010's 4x4 twin), 022 (4x2 pump on Star 1142) and 024 (4x4 pump on MB 1124) models (these were sold in the second half of the 1990s, prior to that, the 004, 005 and 008 were the key products of JZS). The next generetion of appliances - models 011 and 015 (4x4) - never gained such popularity, as the once monopolist heavy truck manufacturer found itself on a financial downslope and losing against new competitors in almost all fields. Fire engines were no exception. The last big red truck (model 020) was shipped off to Libya in 2003. Today, there are two surviving divisions of Jelcz: Jelcz SA, which makes buses (it sadly went bankrupt a few months ago, but did not cease production yet), and Jelcz-Komponenty, which makes specialist chassis for the armed forces.
