Lincolnshire Vauxhall Astra

It's 2006 Vauxhall Astra 1.9D, originally Lincolnshire FRS have bought 13 of them to be used as Co-Responders Cars. But most of them are used by officers to attend incidents etc. This one is from Holbeach Fire Station and its new call sign is FE C15 V1 (used to be C5CR)

Fire men and ambulances shouldn't mix...

Maybe, they shouldn't but I think they want to follow America on that one. That the firefighters will be paramedics as well. I just hope I will retire by then :)

If the Ambulance Service was funded correctly then there would be no need to have firefighters racing round in these vehicles. These vehicles are "clock stoppers" in some cases, so the Ambulance Service can make there target times for the Government. Most fire services cant afford to keep all fire appliances on the run with all the cut backs. And I know they are funded by the NHS. I hope they dont start this in my County.
