Spain - Bomberos Bejar Pegaso Comet (1968)
ENASA Pegaso Comet watertender built in 1968 for town of Béjar council's fire brigade (Salamanca Province). Currently in very restricted use at Béjar fire station with Province of Salamanca fire & rescue department.
This was a very common model of lorry chassis in Spain, and a lot of units were made by ENASA ("Empresa Nacional de Autocamiones, S.A.", 'Lorrys National Co.' , owner of the Pegaso brand and established in 1946 by the Spanish Government) betwenn 1964 and the early 70's, being very commonly used by the Spanish fire departments. The unit that appears in the picture is still officially in use, forty years after of its entrance in service, but it rarely works.
