Thornycroft Large Fire Tender 1957 Australia

In their day, this fire tender was the largest based at all major airports in Australia. This particular tender saw service at Perth and Jandakot Airports in Western Australia (WA). It was commissioned in 1958 and retired from crash work about 1985. Was then on sold to Teiwest Mine WA where little is known of its history. But wait, there's more to come,,,,

They were great trucks to drive, even the front wheel would lift off the ground in a fast turn. I drove these for 9 years
