Engine 208 -- Los Angeles County Fire Department
LA County Engine 208 is a 2006 KME 1500 gpm pumper with Class-A foam. Both the city and county fire department continue to operate with wooden ladders. According to LACountyFire.com this rig operates with a crew of two as part of a 2 piece Engine Company with Engine8.

Devyn - I think it is post-World Trade Centre Disaster of 2001. I have noticed a number of Fire Departments have a memorial or tribute lettered onto their rigs, for the New York fire-fighters lost in that disaster. Usually, it is done elsewhere on the rig, other than the front doors or where their actual Department Identity lettering and crests go.
I have seen this done, even in Canada - possibly,too, as the big USA fire-fighters union, AIFF, also covers Canada as well.

Yes, intrigued by the wooden ladders, too; and is it a white-coloured hose on the Booster Reel ? for higher-visibility, when stretched out on the ground ?

Both LA City and LA County use the "2XX" designation for the second unit in a two-part engine company. These companies have six members (four on the lead pumper, two on the backup) and are combined with a four man ladder company into a "task force". This is the usual 10-person first response to a structure fire, with the addition of further units in high risk areas.
The engines are identical and fully interchangeable, which explains why the second pumpers have full crew cabs. Interesting that LA County continues to mount booster hose reels on their pumpers, although I do not know why they are white! Most US departments have discontinued booster reels, including LA city. Instead, they use small-diameter crosslays, which deploy quickly but take forever to repack, especially if they have to be washed off if they have been used with CAFS. (CAFS is the SOP nowadays.)
Regarding wooden ground ladders, they are still mostly the norm in California and West Coast cities; the reason I have been quoted is the prevalence of overhead power lines, and the risk of them sagging following earthquakes.
