Bedford Prime Mover, North Yorkshire FB
A262 JAJ. 1983 Bedford TK 1260 Prime mover this time with a general purpose flat bed body on. This was originally called the chemical retreaval unit ( note the gray panel on side board where chemical identifcation sign could be fitted ).It carried some empty over size metal drums, if required at a chemical incident it would turn up and any damaged containers were put into the over size drums, sealed and then transported to a site so they could be disposed off safely. It was then discovered that the Brigade did not have a licence to carry hazardous materials, so became GP lorry. Photographed again at Tadcaster fire station but in August 2001 not as smart as in picture 6378 .
