Volvo water ladder North Yorkshire

N821 WPY. 1996 Volvo FL6 14 water ladder with Emergency One bodywork. Photographed in drill yard at Tadcaster fire station, North Yorkshire in February 2001 when it was the wholetime first appliance. Note the advertisement on the centre locker shutter. This was a sponsorship deal with a major frozen food company, trying to get people to eat oven chips rather the chips from a frying pan, thus cut down on chip pan fires.

And that Paul my friend was the start of a downhill trend. Has anyone seen the Cheshire method totally destroying the look of a fire engine?
