i only wish North yorkshires new fll rescue pumps looked as nice as these, to be honest with you, the North yorks version looks like a shed as a crew cab, and as ugly, but this looks nice, especially for a volvo.....

well john thats what north yorkshire get for wanting there appliances rushed yes your right they are 1 ugly appliance.
with east sussex well what can i say i think its a lovely appliance.
east sussex at this date in time have 3 new appliances on run barcombe / bexhill and crowborough.
bexhill will be on site hopehully soon with crowborough on friday.

i know your brigade has only just got them, but are they ok so far?

i know when the 54 plate fl6 appliance arrived at York it was always off the run, i just hope these new ones are better, can't be any worse!

well there were a few problems before they were on the run.
the only problem there is at the moment is the barcombe appliance has a defect it don't go over 48mph but when the blues and two's go on its meant to override but doesn't so it don't go over 48mph which would be a pain on the A27 dual carriage way.

Harvey, really nice picture of the first Volvo FLL-15/JDC to go on the run at the retained station of Barcombe.It certainly makes a change from the normal hand-me-downs from fulltime stations to retained after 2/3 years.This appliance looks a really nice piece of gear, and better then some we've been seeing go on the run lately with some brigades.

That's is stupid isn't it? Is this down to volvo? i know when Yorks 54 plate was leaking oil, the local Volvo garage said top it up, and drive it upto Thirsk for repair, if i was the mechanic who was working on it for the brigade, i know what my answer would have been! crazy ain't it, Emergency service vehicles get no priority when they need repair at the Volvo garage.

West Sussex have just had returned the two Dennis SS pumping appliances
loaned to East Sussex Fire & Rescue now the new Volvo's are finally going
into service.They were, G264 VBP and H878 BOT which have both now gone into
storage along with one other Dennis SS Series WrL, H880 BOT.

This appliance is about to change location within next month, A new Volvo FLL, 61 reg appliance is about to go on the run at Barcombe, GX 57 EUJ will then move to the service training centre at Maresfield.
