Nawww, the old stuff is decent. Why I kinda like that one since in my youth I had a Triumph Spitfire. Weren't they made by Brit. Leyland? But why 2 different toned bells, one for heavy traffic and one for lite traffic?

Great to see this Firemaster Pump escape, I remember Manchester ran some, I was born and brought up there and remember them on the run. Manchester's had Cocker bodywork. Thanks for the picture.

i dont think its the tone of bell, so much as it being the same on my TL and thats one, is a hand bell, and one is an electric bell but i think the electrical gubbins is inside the bell and had to be mounted higher to allow clearance
as i remember my old Dennis f7 was like this

What is the door on the front? Is there pump hookups or is it just for maintaining the rig's motor?

Steve The Firemaster had a front mounted pump concealed behind the two folding doors known to the crews as 'The Cocktail Cabinet'

Leyland Firemaster - picture 18545 shows a Glasgow sister '74 CGD' all hooked up, and, at work, on a fire-scene.

The fire engineering on this one is by David Haydon, and even though it's nothing like the Glasgow's other one (74 CGD) the bodywork on both was actually by Cocker.

Re the bell's. At one time the one above the OiC was rung by a crew member who was nominated "Bell Man" at the start of the shift.
