Where is battalion 2 stationed

Battalion Chief#2 is housed with Engine Co#55 at 363 Broome Street
in the 1st Division in the Borough of Manhattan, New York City.

This photo illustrates the "fire lane", which is the entire center lane of most of Manhattan's avenues, which are one way and run the length of the island on a north/south axis.

In order to speed emergency response, they are reserved for FDNY apparatus and ambulances, and are also used by NYPD. The Department's vehicles are of course also permitted to drive in Bus Only lanes too, if they prefer to - as illustrated here!
