F.D.N.Y.Engine Company 10. 2001 Seagrave JB 1000/500 High Pressure Pumper located with Ladder Company 10 at Liberty Street directly across from where the World Trade Centre once stood.Its the most visited firehouse in the city since the tragic events of September 11th,2001 but the guys don't mind you visiting them and make you feel really welcome.Don't forget to ask for a T-Shirt,or Sweat-Shirt if you visit,they sell them to raise funds for the families of lost ones and the cost of these items are very reasonable,and something to remember of your visit to Engine 10/Ladder 10 in downtown Manhattan.

Well Jason, at least they look better than those toasters with wheels running around Europe! 3 ft. bumpers are the norm now, easy access to preconnected handlines. As a short guy, I love them. BTW, you ain't seen "bling" until you see some of the vollies trucks up north. Down in the Southern States, we can't afford much "bling". (Sheesh, now you got me talkin' like the young'uns.)

U.s. Chassis are great with bling and all but imo the new euro one's such as scania, volvo etc are top quality and trusted brands worldwide with modern looks.

hey sorry its not a slur its a point of view
its just that they all look the same to me and i am afraid that thats the case here too, although the quality is without doubt good and far be it for me to knock it.
i am 32 yrs old but i have to admit that i am bias to the older appliance. the machines of these days lack character, and are little more than an 18ton chassis cab that happened to have a fire engine body put on instead of a curtainside lorry body.
appliances started to lose the character during the 70's and its been down hill from there.
i work for volvo truck and bus, i see the production of these modern vehicles and it does little to instal the same wow factor that it did when i looked around Dennis's factory or HCB Angus in Southampton.
