WCD 782Y.1982 Dennis RS133/Dennis Pump Escape which saw service with the East Sussex Fire Brigade and was located at the station in Roedean,Brighton.East Sussex Fire Brigade was one of the last brigades to continue to use wheeled escape ladders well into the later part of the 1980's in the United Kingdom.The brigade recieved its first Volvo appliances in 1988,and after this were slowly phased out.This photo taken about 1985 shows Roedeans pump escape at Preston Circus fire station in the heart of the town centre.

Pete, I dont think you over did it. Its great to see appliances form this period, there's something about wheeled escapes. My Brigade had just stopped using then when I joined in 1977. Thanks for the photo.
