MBK 390 R 1977 BEDFORD VAS incident command unit
Bedford 6 cyl. petrol engine.
This appliance was supplied new to Hampshire Fire Brigade in chassis form, and was bodied and fitted out in their own workshops. Used to co-ordinate the management of major incidents that required six or more appliances, it was based initially at Eastleigh, and transferred in 1996 to Winchester where it served until it was withdrawn in August 2003.
