Jock, the West Sussex Fire Brigade have for some 60 years operated with Dennis
pumping appliances and still continue to this day operating and purchasing such well respected appliances.
Whether it be the Dennis Rapier, or the Sabre which the brigade have many, these
are concidered popular appliances with many brigades here in the UK, as well as
many countries abroad.It is only in recent years that the Scania appliances have come onto the scene, their popular with crews in the towns, but useless in such a rural county like that of West Sussex with much of it being countryside
with narrow roads, overhanging trees, etc.Dennis or Scania?, .....Dennis anyday.

glad to hear it although i heard the days of dennis were numbered due to lack of investment in fire appliance chassis and the euro 5 copliancy, i would like to think not as having experience of both makes i know which one wins for me, and most serving personnel who crew them

this truck has now come off the run at Chichester as there are all Scania now and it will be very shorty be at my home station of Littlehampton as our second along side its sister HX04 WGE
