This was a noteworthy truck as it was the last true Pirsch Tractor Drawn Aerial, a.k.a. Tiller Truck built. Shortly after this truck was delivered, the company folded due to a lawsuit by the widow of some bonehead that fell off of a Pirsch and killed himself.

TheFireman: nice Peter Pirsch Tiller Truck photo - you can see the Tiller Rear-Wheels are angled over.

Had wondered what happened to the Company.

Thanks.

The "bonehead" was a brave and loyal firefighter for the Town of Brookline, Massachusetts. Yes, it is unfortunate that the family sued Pirsch but, as I understand it, the company was in dire straits to begin with. The firefighter was NOT a bonehead. He flipped out of the jump seat of a Pirsch Pumper and remained in a vegetative state for many, many years thereafter, until his death.
