Yes, it most certainly is an ex-Oxfordshire machine. It looks like one of the batch that were originally C938-941 EJO - all of which went to Malta.

this fire truck has more than you can see...though she done her time in UK and some time at the IFSTS at Hal Far Malta now she is still going at our station..
though the rear structure has been reinforced her time is due.The roads hasn`t helped either..She was always there when we needed her and done her part well.I salute her when she goes down ~LET HER RUST IN PEACE~Enemalta fire fighter

there has been a new addition to the enemalta fire section. This is a mercedes truck purchased from sheffield UK. Hope to add information and a photo of it.

Confirming, yes this was an ex-Oxfordsire Bedford TK/HCB which served Floriana fire brigade in Malta.Pete.

Pretty sure its a TI bedford not a TK , very few were made and now rare as hens whatsits

It was a halfway house. It had a to cab with some to parts such as axles wheels and uprated engines but not chassis .it was produced for those that still wanted a to despite the to being in production since 1980

Alan, Bedford TL's had square headlights set into the bumper - this one doesn't. The indicators are not correct for a TL either - I would say this is a TK

Confusion I think is the wheels and axles are TL , the indicators are aftermarket not TK , the TL chassis was introduced in 1980 and TH production stopped shortly thereafter apart from some which were asked for by certain operators and as TK parts ran out more and more TL parts were introduced , its basically a TL with a TK cab
