A nice example of the relatively recent trend in Germany to acquire Unimog brush trucks with crew cabs. For decades German brush trucks settled for three seat cabs most of the time, and of course Unimogs were the standard choice. Now it seems the trend is towards the French design, which is to accommodate a four or even five person squad. Germany still seems to prefer the 3000 litre tank size, while in France a 4000 litre tank is more common. The elaborate roll cage with built in water spray nozzles to protect the crew is also an idea which originated in France but is now virtually a standard feature on rush trucks everywhere in Europe.

Remote control monitors have been around a long time, along with pump and roll transmissions, and these are found on both roof and bumper mounting points. This example has a winch, so the monitor inevitably has to be on the roof.
