With a population just under 30, 000 this German town’s volunteer fire company had combined a lot of different functions into one single AB container. Their other three AB containers include a 10, 000 liter water tanker, a special extinguishing media unit with foam, dry powder, CO2 and purple K and a general transport open container.

This town has also just acquired the first rescue pumper built on a MAN chassis by Rosenbauer which has a built in roof container for a remote controlled infrared drone. This is also opened remotely, and the drone has 30 minutes of operating autonomy.

This town is definitely at the leading edge in some respects. Surprising what gear a small town fire service can acquire if it is all volunteer and has zero payroll expenses.
