Favored by volunteers in small communities, these inexpensive vans carried a 800 LPM PP, a set of scaling ladders, hoses, tools and a give or six person crew. Although a very limited specification, these little tenders could respond quickly and had enough kit on board to be able to address the majority of relatively minor incidents that occurred in these small communities. The current generation of PP tenders are quite a bit bigger, have additional equipment including BA and - most significantly - have an on board water tank around 400 to 600 litres.
