This generation of LF8 pumps were among the first to have water tanks, although the 600 litre capacity was still rather modest. The current LF10 still has a minimum DIN tank capacity requirement of only 600 litres, but a lot of brigades actually order them with 900, 1000 and even 1200 litre tanks to materially improve autonomy. The standard first attack branch in Germany has a 400 LPM flow capacity, so a 2.5 or 3 minute supply can be a big plus factor.
