A rather rare LF8TS, built on a modified panel van. Hanomag -which produced light vehicles - merged with Henschel who were building heavier vehicles in 1969, as both of these small volume firms were struggling with competition from bigger van and truck manufacturers in Germany. Unfortunately the joint venture did not last long, as the combined sales revenue still remained insufficient to be able to invest in modernization of their product lines. The firm ceased production in 1974, although some of its products were taken over by Mercedes and sold for a few years afterwards. This LF8TS was among the last units the firm was able to build.
