Bedford M1120 Angloco H4P East SussexThis is my latest model completion, based on a real machine.
East Sussex originally bought it for forest fire operations and it was designated "heavy four wheel drive pump" or H4P. The pump was in fact a portable pump not plumbed in and could be lifted off with the Atlas crane. It has a green cover shown here. There was a slo a high pressure hose line, like modern fire fogging. It was based at Crowborough.
The unit was later re-designated as an animal rescue unit, with crane used to rescue large animals, and was replaced with a Unimog.
My base model is a kit by Promod, and Atlas crane came with it, as it was British military?
Model is about 1:50, but crane is a bit oversized at about 1:43 I think. The kit was quite hard to build well for various reasons but good quality casting.
Body scratchbuilt in Plastikard. Pump cube fashioned in Milliput.
You can see the real appliance in its first form here
