I suppose the

Rosenbauer Stinger (Skelmersdale), and
Emergency One Scorpion (Macclesfield, Salford)

are successors though much more advanced.

The Stinger has a penetrating nozzle so that it can pierce metal roofs and walls in typical newer industrial modular structures, having been originally designed by Rosenbauer to be able to get inside aircraft fuselages. Widely used by airport crash tenders, it has been adopted by only a very few municipalities, as its usefulness is rather limited to structures which its design enables it to actually penetrate. Otherwise it is simply a 15 or 20 meter aerial monitor, remote controlled from the ground. As such, it is only marginally more useful than the old TSM, which was not an idea which lasted with British fire brigades.

I am not surprised that these have not had much success with municipal brigades, as they add a lot of cost to a regular pumper without the likelihood of being effectively deployed very often.
