A very typical Japanese light pumper from a much earlier time, still with right hand drive steering. These almost always had a five seat cab, mid mounted pump and the distinctive dual pre-connected suction hoses to use with static underground water tanks, which were very much the norm in Japan.

J-P: Just a thought. Some Japanese fire services di often actually operate 4X4 pumpers for urban use, because of the ever present risk of road damage from earthquakes. You probably remember your own photos of Tokyo's Unimogs which were purchased to cope with earthquake damaged road systems.
