In the last decade or so Scania chassis fire trucks of all types have become a common sight in many different countries, including some like France and Germany which have quite strong domestic truck manufacturers. In many cases the standard or long version of the factory crew cab is used, as in this Belgian example, but - especially in Germany - pumpers tend to have fully integrated crew compartments behind the standard two for truck cab, although this sometimes has a roof cap to accommodate the warning lights and air horns. This configuration facilitates the local preference for rear seats facing each other in the crew area.
