According to Wikipedia this firm ceased production in 1928, so I suspect this is actually a 1928 build. This is also indicated by the ancient piston pump, the old fashioned open style body, wooden wheels and single headlight. AlthoughTurcat-Mery built the engine and chassis, there is no evidence that they did actually build fire trucks as such, so the bodywork and pump would presumably have been installed by a different firm. The green paint - if original - is also interesting. Was this the BMPM military livery back then?

Actually, by the look of it there is a good chance it might be even earlier, 1918?

Rob well spotted! Yes of course I followed blindly the museum's description. I would even say lates 1910' beginning 1920's.

As for BMPM it was created in 1939.

Thanks! I never investigated the BMPM history. Still interesting to have a green French pump from that era. Most of the odd colored ones in the States were (and still are) operated by traditional volunteer fire corps which were in many cases founded in the nineteenth century. Part of their tradition was to have their own colors for their equipment, as well as different uniforms, as it was a matter of much bragging to be the first team to arrive at a fire - and for everyone to know it!
