This is a former Devon Fire and Rescue Service Dennis RS. Devon only introduced "roll up" lockers in about 1987 ending a long tradition which included the open hose reel bay.

I remember the first time I saw one of these. I was in Plymouth visiting relatives when I saw one of these parked up by the Citadel. It was in the early '80s and I was more used to the poxy Fords, boxy Bedford KGs and roll-up aluminium-bodied RSs of Staffordshire, my local brigade. And I couldn't believe how unusual and beautiful Devon's RSs were.

And you know what? They still are! Even if they are now ex-Devon. Hats off to its current owner. A Right Stunner.
