This fire tender was photographed by me at the Lamport Steam Rally, Northamptonshire in May 2003. I have no history or other information on the truck.

A standard 10 ton payload US military 6X6 truck, built in the latter years of the 1900s by several different contracted manufacturers in huge numbers for the US government. Quite a few of these are experiencing a second life as heavy duty brush pumpers with various fire departments and forestry agencies in different parts of America, as they are very rugged, dependable and have excellent off road capabilities.

In France we used to have Reo's as brush fire water tankers rigs, mainly in the southern regions.
