Essex also had Simontor foam tenders. Booms were removed and became recovery vehicle with beavertail.

K1613 chassis in service 1977. In 1983 it was converted by the brigade into workshops recovery vehicle. Now preserved as a beavertail and not looking like a fire engine at all. You can see it here
