Is this unit parallel to the German “Notartz” emergency medical response concept?

Added by Rob Johnson on 04 April 2024.
Not really, this is for the regional fire service chief doctor and assistants, their main task is the FD teams follow-up and medical care. They can be called to support at incidents scene.

In France the similar " Notartz' units are stationed and manned from the hospitals i.e. SAMU-SMUR, Red Cross, with 1 EMS Doctor and 1 EMS Assistant

Thanks JP. It seems every country has a different approach. This sounds similar to the VdF in Italy, which has its own ambulances, but they are mainly reserved to standby at fires and other fire service attended incidents to deal with any VdF injuries.
