It took some French fire services a bit longer to develop the idea of combined pump water tender and rescue truck than was the case in Germany and the U.K, but in recent years they have become a lot more commonplace. There are still many places where fire services have not yet decided to acquire them, not least in the States, where dedicated heavy rescue squad trucks are still usually the norm.

Yes FPTSR really got fully developed early 2000' in most of the SDIS regional FS. In most of case heavy rescue truck or pods remain on duty as well.
