Not often that we see any new European aerial trucks being delivered with crew cabs these days....Both the Iveco Magirus and the MAN Metz/Rosenbauer are four door ladders. I wonder why Lausanne did not buy two identical units, instead of quite different ones?
Most fire services try to standardize their fleets, so that drivers, technicians delivering maintenance and repairs as well as supply stores do not have to deal with a variety of makes and designs.
The Iveco TTL is older, the new MAN Rosenbauer replaced a low-profile Iveco TTL. However they told me that they regret the rear axle rotation for the old city maneuvering

Judging by the shape of the front grill of the Iveco Stralis, I would think that this Iveco is around ten years old
Yes the old low profile Iveco had a two seat cab; interesting that it was replaced by the MAN ladder with a full crew cab. Lausanne has a combined full time and volunteer fire service, so perhaps not short of bodies when push comes to shove?
I guess - from looking at their other vehicles - they are gradually switching from Iveco to MAN chassis, which is actually not all that unusual among fire services who can afford the more expensive but generally better quality and more reliable brand.
