This little truck looks as if it is filled up just about as full as the proverbial sardine can! It is another non-DIN standard unit, apparently designed to get a small crew and basic rescue gear to an incident quickly and at a relatively low cost. This concept was very popular in Belgium decades ago, before the rescue pumper became commonplace.

This town of 8, 000 has an all volunteer forty strong fire company, with a pumper, a pump water tender, a personnel van and a boat trailer. To address the need to respond to motor vehicle accidents and other rescue incidents, without the expense of buying a new rescue pump, they acquired this tightly packed light rescue so that they could use respond quickly to local incidents like these, and not depend on adjacent fire companies which have rescue pumpers.
