These self contained skid mounted modular brush pumps and water tanks have been very popular in the US for many years. They have the advantage that the users can convert any suitable 4X4 pickup truck into a quite useful light brush pumper within a few minutes, while having a versatile truck for any other purpose when it is not needed as a firefighter. No surprise, they are popular with forestry and park maintenance services, and also employed by some fire departments who use them in a general logistics role as well as a brush unit.
The disadvantage is that they have rather limited capacity compared to custom built brush pumpers on the same chassis. but the cost is much lower - and in many situations having larger numbers of these is a better way of addressing wildland fire response.
