I think these were a nice looking machine.
I believe Cleveland only bought two Dodges so maybe they were not happy with them.
Or were they saving up to buy Dennis's!

I was told these had a rear facing crew seat and a rather cramped and dark interior in the back , so a lot of crews disliked them. They did however turn up in quite a lot of fire brigade fleets despite this - probably because, as you suggest, they were relatively cheap.
