Saar – a standard fire-fighting and rescue vehicle containing different fire extinguishing equipment, three cubic metres and 300 litres of foam concentrate, ladders and other equipment. This vehicle is the most common vehicle and is launched first for any event. Also called in the professional jargon – an initial exit vehicle.

These were acquired after the Israeli national fire service bought a large number of Mercedes 1224 pumpers, many of which are depicted on this site. The later purchases were on Iveco chassis, and all three types are still in service. The specifications are pretty much identical.
