The Ford Cargo was the successor to the D series, but remained in production only in Turkey and South America shortly after Ford Truck was absorbed into IVECO in 1975. Not surprisingly, Cargo fire trucks tended to show up afterwards only in Brazil, Venezuela and Turkey, just like this example (and a few others on this site). While the D series found its way into more than thirty UK fire service fleets, as well as many factory brigades, not to mention several fire services in Australia, New Zealand and Northern Europe, the Cargo was practically unknown.
