Further research shows this was called the Pilot vehicle, so that Alvis could get permission/approval to build a Crash Tender on the F.V.R.D.E.'s F.V.600 chassis. This Pilot appears in the 1954 catalogue of the F.V.R.D.E. vehicle demonstration exhibition. By 1962, the same chassis has been modified to 4x4, by removing the centre wheels. It then had a Runway Friction test rig and wheel installed, and was called the Juggernaut. Some years later the Juggernaut was sold off and shipped to Queensland
