Leyland FEU4 pump Carrongrove MS3010Does that say Beaulieu Hants on the side? Would make sense given story below
The appliance was supplied new to Carrongrove Paper Mill, Denny in Stirlingshire in Feb 1921. It was then on solid tyres, the pneumatics being fitted probably in the early 1930s. It served Carrongrove until 1960 when it was given to Beaulieu Motor Museum.
Since then it has been in several hands on loan from Beaulieu including Worthing Historic Vehicle Club, Liphook Fire Station Social Club, Eastbourne Lion Preservation Group, Museum of Army Transport at Beverley and the Skopos Motor Museum in Batley.
It returned to Beaulieu some 10 years ago and was put in the 2003 Beaulieu Auction, it didn't sell. Sold privately 2007? and purchased Mike hebbard in April 2011. see
