The eight ton Ecoliner was a “heavy duty” LF8; others were often built on lighter Benz and Opel chassis or panel van conversions, as well as a handful of Italian OM units, which were marketed by Magirus Deutz. Many had front mounted pumps, both to save cost and to save space. Very few modern light, medium or even heavy pumpers in Germany still have crew cabs for nine firefighters, but this was the norm for a DIN compliant LF8, as was the absence of any water tank….

This rig was parked besides Wilmersdorf FS in Berlin I don't know the relation!

The decal on the cowl might be a clue, but I can’t read it!

Seems to be a commercial company selling parts to modify cars, as far as I can tell from their website. Not very clear why they would want to own an old LF8, but it was probably quite inexpensive, low mileage and most likely had been very well maintained.
