Not sure where this mid 1980s example ended up. Anybody know?

I believe this appliance was purchased by South Glamorgan and registered D527MHB. If memory serves it was based at Penarth.
An earlier demonstrator, a Dodge/Carmichael “Fire Chief” was also purchased by the brigade and is picture 37369 on this site

This is with a Renault logo, correct?

Ed: Renault took over Dodge trucks at this period and both badges appeared.

Aiden Fisher comments in his 2012 book on HCB Angus that the whole cab, including the crew cab tilted. This required a hydraulic ram and hand pumping. It was expensive and did not sell well. This appliance was seriously damaged in an RTC and was rebuilt without the combined crew cab.

Contemporary Mercedes crew cabs were powered by the vehicle’s own hydraulics. This does not seem have been too complicated!
