Quite surprised to see an Econic chassis going to Japan. I wonder if its less expensive than fitting the Metz ladder to the existing low profile custom Hino chassis in Japan? Or even the Morita-Hino unit, several examples of which are on this site? TFD did buy several Iveco Magirus ladders, but that was several years ago. The only imported fire trucks which are around in any numbers in Japan are Unimogs, because there is simply no Japanese equivalent!

Thanks, I will take a look. I do like the fact that Japanese fire services still for the most part paint their fire trucks all over red, unlike many countries who have added all sorts of garish chevrons, stripes and chequering - not to mention some weird paint schemes redolent of a circus clown car!
