1938 Dennis Big 4 with Braidwood style body and 700 gym pump. Served with Vickers Aviation at Weybridge Airfield and later with the Army Fire Service at Brooklands race track, war service in Portsmouth during the Blitz. Out of Service it went into preservation and today is still in preservation at Basingstoke.

PJ was a Guildford, Surrey registration, so Weybridge seems to be the most probable location.

This Big 4 was purchased new by Vickers Armstrong at Brooklands in 1938, spent a bit of time fighting fires at Portsmouth during the war and was still in service up to its retirement in 1971. The Big 4 has spent all of its retirement in Hampshire, being housed at Basingstoke Fire Station from 1971 - 2001 when purchased by the current owner, who now loans it to the Milestones Museum (Basingstoke) where it is on display.
