Equipping firefighting pumpers with their own drones is a rather new idea. Up to now, most have been carried on various levels of command units, or else transported in their own light vans or pickup trucks. As they become smaller and easier to operate, it is not hard to see them becoming a standard item on pumpers in the future. They are extremely useful in command situations where a three dimensional assessment of an incident is indicated.
