Bedford J5 HCB pump

bit of a mystery here as I am not sure of the identity of this one. This may be one of the few machines that had no paint applied at all. Apart from Grampian which brigades used all silver?

It is a Bedford J5 with HCB bodywork, aluminium body but fibreglass cab.

ah just found this article that says Devon had a small order for all silver J5s from HCB. Includes a picture

looking again it seems these Devon silver machines are Dodges 123As not Bedfords. see picture 26618

looks a lot of rust on it, development chassis/cab?, perhaps HCB expert Aidan Fisher will be able to enlighten us?

Second thoughts looks like the twin orange flashers have been removed, as well as rearbody work, perhaps proposed conversion that never happened, there also ladder runner still in place, so my orginal thought probably incorrect, and its in a scrap yard.
