An older unit. In large cities like Dresden, older rigs like this are often kept as reserves for the full time watch and/or assigned as second due units to volunteer fire companies in the city. Dresden has five large full time fire stations and more than twenty additional volunteer stations, mainly in outlying suburban communities.

The door designation label indicates this has a 2,000 litre water tank. More recent German HLF rescue pumpers tend very often to have smaller tanks around 1200 liters, following the example of Berlin - as the almost universal adoption of CAFS means a smaller tank is perfectly adequate most of the time in areas with hydrants. The Berlin experience is in line with studies in the US and several other European countries. Most interior structure fires can be dealt with using 1600 LPM class A compressed air foam flowing for well under three minutes, requiring a water content of less than 1200 liters in total.
