This elderly pump has the old two man demountable hose cart for 75mm hose, used primarily for hydrant hook up but also for heavy hand line operations at a distance from the pump. These were a standard feature of the LF16 pump, but were not fitted to the TLF16 pump water tender, although some fire brigades also carried one on their TTLs. In these cases, they were primarily intended to supply the ladder monitor, as German TTLs almost always relied on a remote pumper if they were to be deployed as a water tower.
Most LFH and HLF pumps in Germany still have a demountable hose cart to this day, but they are usually one man designs, as modern 75mm hoses are lighter and less bulky these days….
