Scania fire trucks are still rather uncommon in France, although Renault is being increasingly displaced in many departmental fire services by Mercedes, Iveco and especially MAN chassis. Renaults are still however pretty much the dominant ambulance chassis, trending more and more to custom box bodies on chassis cabs rather than the simpler but less practical van conversions of the recent past.
