East Ham FRUs old and new WX71VJV

the vehicle on the right was delivered to East Ham some weeks ago but is not yet on the run. Here alongside the old FRU AE57FMZ with TVAC Papworth body. Specifications:

according to Fire Cover mag this month these new FRUs have not entered service because of a dispute with the trades union over some of the equipment on board. East Ham's still not on the run.

I find it amazing that’s trade union can do this.

In most countries fire service employees are legally precluded from trade union membership or activity

Thanks. I suggest you visit some of the numerous countries where fire service personnel are not unionized. This may change your mind.
